GRUPO PACC, A PIONEER IN SERVING THE DEAF COMMUNITY
GRUPO PACC has become a pioneering company in accessibility for deaf people by formalizing its collaboration agreement with Comunicados en Lengua de Signos. This company provides an innovative communication system that enables public and private companies to communicate effectively with deaf individuals.
Since March 2018, more than one million deaf people in Spain have been able to purchase their insurance policies and report claims at any GRUPO PACC office through a video-interpretation system or by making a video call from their mobile phone.
The brokerage thus becomes the first company in the insurance sector to innovate in terms of accessibility for deaf people. “This agreement will help us grow as a company and as individuals. It is a need that had to be addressed, and GRUPO PACC could not remain on the sidelines,” states the company’s President.
“Deaf people still face many barriers, and this agreement between GRUPO PACC and Comunicados will help raise their visibility,” says Pedro Jesús Vega, President of the Jerez Association of the Deaf and mentor-partner of Comunicados. “We are very proud to make this project a reality, turning GRUPO PACC into the first fully accessible company in the insurance sector for deaf people,” adds Mamen Lima, Communications Director at Comunicados.

GRUPO PACC PIONERA EN LA ATENCIÓN A PERSONAS SORDAS
GRUPO PACC se ha convertido en una empresa pionera en materia de accesibilidad para personas sordas al oficializar su acuerdo de colaboración con Comunicados en Lengua de Signos. Esta empresa provee de un sistema de comunicación innovador y novedoso para ofrecer la posibilidad de comunicar a las empresas públicas y privadas con las personas sordas.
Desde marzo de 2018, más de un millón de personas sordas en España tienen la posibilidad de contratar sus seguros y comunicar los siniestros en cualquiera de las oficinas de GRUPO PACC mediante un sistema de video-interpretación o realizando una videollamada desde su teléfono móvil.
La correduría, se convierte así, en la primera empresa del sector asegurador innovadora en materia de accesibilidad para personas sordas. “Este acuerdo nos hará crecer como empresa y como personas. Es una necesidad que había que satisfacer y GRUPO PACC no podía permanecer al margen”, indica el presidente de la correduría.
“Las personas sordas tenemos todavía muchas barreras y este acuerdo entre GRUPO PACC y Comunicados, nos ayudará a darles visibilidad” – afirma Pedro Jesús Vega, presidente de la Asociación de Sordos de Jerez y socio-mentor de Comunicados. “Estamos muy orgullosos de hacer realidad este proyecto, convirtiendo a GRUPO PACC en la primera empresa del sector asegurador totalmente accesible para personas sordas” – indica Mamen Lima, Directora de Comunicación de Comunicados.
